The WMS Book Fair

For three days, our Duane Street gym is transformed into a literary wonderland.

The Washington Market School's Annual Book Fair is a celebration of the joy of reading and a testament to the strong sense of community within our school.

Co-hosted by McNally Jackson, our Book Fair offers a diverse selection of books that catered to every child's interest and nurtured their love for reading. In collaboration with the fair, we invite featured authors to visit all of our classrooms to read their books aloud to our young learners.

The event exemplifies our spirit of community and collaboration, reminding us all the of the immeasurable value of literature in shaping young learners and nurturing their imagination.

Bring the magic of The Washington Market School Book Fair home with our video collection of Bedtime Stories, read by our dedicated faculty, staff and visiting authors!

Scavenger Hunt

The scavenger hunt is an unforgettable highlight for our young learners! This fun activity not only adds an extra layer of excitement to the event, but also offers numerous developmental benefits. As children eagerly search through the bustling fair, they hone in on their observational, problem-solving and teamwork skills. The thrill of discovering the hidden books and images ignites their curiosity for reading and exploration.
